Originally used for livestock, the Thatch has been used for many purposes over the years, not least an art studio.
A small room at the rear of the Thatch had been lined with a brickwork skin. Removing this has revealed the original flint walls.
Digging up the concrete floor in this room at the back of the barn revealed no less than four layers before uncovering the original drainage floor of what would have been cattle stalls.
